Payment, Cancellation & Refund Policy

How readings are priced and paid, what happens if plans change, and when a refund applies.
This policy explains the commercial side of working with Astralume Astro: how readings are priced and paid, and how cancellations and refunds are handled. Because a reading is time reserved and prepared for you, refunds are assessed by reference to whether the session has taken place.
Prices
Prices shown on the site are in United States dollars, per reading, and are confirmed before your session goes ahead. Where a piece of work is larger than a single reading, we agree the scope and price with you in writing first.
How payment works
Unless agreed otherwise, a reading is paid for in advance, which confirms your time.
- Single readings. Paid in full at the time of booking.
- Method. Payment is handled by a secure, PCI-compliant processor; we never store card details.
If you reschedule
You can reschedule a booked reading with at least twenty-four hours' notice at no charge, and any payment carries over to the new time.
With less than twenty-four hours' notice, the session may be treated as delivered, since the time and preparation were reserved for you.
If you cancel
- Before the session, with reasonable notice. Any payment is refunded in full.
- Shortly before the session (under twenty-four hours). A cancellation fee of up to half the price may apply, as the time was held and the chart prepared.
- After the session has taken place. The fee is not refundable, as the reading has been delivered.
After the reading
Once a reading has taken place, the fee is not refundable, because the session, the preparation and the written summary have been delivered.
Because astrology is interpretive and outcomes depend on your own choices, a refund is not available on the basis that events did or did not unfold as hoped. If you were unhappy with how a session was delivered, tell us and we will do our best to put it right.
If we cannot deliver
In the rare case that we have to cancel a reading and cannot offer a suitable alternative, any payment for that session is refunded in full.
How refunds are paid
Where a refund is due, it is issued to the original payment method within ten business days of being agreed. We cannot refund to a different account or in cash, and how quickly it appears depends on your bank or card issuer.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the practice develops. The version in force when your booking is confirmed governs that booking.
